FAQ

We ship furniture orders nationwide within Australia. These are either shipped with a selected courier or fragile freight carrier, with the pricing dependent on the location, size and weight of the item/s. The total freight will be calculated at checkout for your order.

Our larger items will automatically incur additional shipping charges at the checkout. We reserve the right to contact you if your address requires further freight charges to be paid.

Delivery time will vary depending on the location and size of the product, ranging from 1-2 days to 2-3 weeks. Once your product is near completion, we will contact you to arrange a delivery schedule that best suits your needs.

In stock product can be returned within 14 days, for a credit or exchange. Please choose carefully as we do not refund for change of mind. Products must be returned unused, with all original packaging and we reserve the right to refuse a return if the product does not meet our requirements. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the purchaser, unless the products received were damaged/faulty.

Made to order or imported products are made to your unique requirements and cannot be cancelled after one business day from placing the order.

Please contact us within one business day of placing your order if you would like to make changes to your order for made to order or import product. After this time we may not be able to make changes or there may be fees incurred, however please do not hesitate to contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

In the unfortunate event your furniture arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as you are able on info@civilisation.net.au and we will work through a solution as quickly as we are able. We ask for understanding in these circumstances, as some damages can require rework or remakes. If you are able to note the products as damaged with the carrier when accepting the delivery, this is very much appreciated.

All Civilisation products are locally manufactured and support a wide array of Australian and local manufactures. With our partner brands outside of Australia, we support their sustainability endeavours and work with market leaders in innovative manufacturing and approaches to design.

We make the majority of our furniture items to order, or in small runs, allowing us to reduce our waste and only produce what is truly needed.

We believe that investing in well considered furniture allows you to live better, with less, that lasts longer and Civilisation products are designed with this in mind. To extend the life of these pieces, we offer refurbishing services that allow you to enjoy your products for many years to come.

For someone who loves a design from our collection but would like it made to fit a specific space or aesthetic. This includes changes to dimensions, materials and finishes.

The Rubio Finish on your furniture attaches to the wood fibres by means of a molecular bond, creating a durable, long lasting protection for timber. Every time you clean your table with the recommended Rubio Cleaners you are nourishing and further protecting the timber surface. Any general household cleaner, or chemical cleaners should be avoided. Treating with the Rubio Refresh Spray periodically, but no more than three times yearly, will extend the life of the finish and your furniture. If the treated surface starts showing wear and tear, or needs a colour repair, you can maintain it with Rubio Oil. Be sure to follow the manufacturers instructions when using these products to ensure the best possible results and please contact us regarding purchasing refresh sprays or product care tips. We will be happy to help.

Civilisation Timber products are under warranty for 2 years for manufacturing related defects.
